Thank you Theresa, Andrew was a blessing to my spirit. I took notes in spite of the enemy trying to steal my ... release, recovery and return. I am going to keep "WAITING" on God. Thank you again for inviting me to the call and I pray that you will continue to help SIS everywhere. Love ya, Cemetria

Sisters, God is awesome in spite of any distractions! As I stated on the call: the devil only attacks those that are a threat to his kingdom! If you were there on the call, you are a personal threat to the devil's agenda and SiS is a collective threat to the devil's agenda!

Remember what our brother Andrew said: that you can't get out of poverty until you Release! And we are not discussing poverty in terms of money only...but mental poverty, emotional poverty, physical poverty, relational poverty...

Sisters don't be held back by unforgiveness, mourning or heaviness. LET IT GO! In Jesus' name!

Hey everyone- the conference call last night sooo blessed me. I am a rising senior at Howard University and I currently hold an internship in Chicago. Yesterday I had a few issues at my internship with apparent "miscommunication" and I learned from a VP of the company that I was hired to fill a quota. My company is paired with a larger holding company that requires each smaller company to hire a certain number of African Americans. In my office the only African Americans are the Office Manager and the Receptionist. I HAD NO IDEA OF THIS WHEN I INTERVIEWED. The VP went further to say that I was lying to him about some time that I had to take off when I was stuck in Atlanta (with no luggage) due to bad weather.

I was completely knocked off my heels at all of the accusations that were being thrown at me- I was hired by default! I began to question my ability to hold such a position- if I were white would I have gotten the position? Was I underqualified and I needed the "affirmative action points" to put me atop my less-colored counterparts? I left the office with tears in my eyes knowing that I wouldn't be back.

The thing that really hit home for me from the conference call was one does not know freedom unless they know bondage. To take it a step further- one does not know joy unless they know pain and one does not know happiness unless they know sorrow. This is true because we, especially as women, become complacent in our mess and our drama thinking that because we have been in the wilderness for so long that nothing will ever change. All we have to do it wait on God like a waiter waits on a table. This means doing more than just saying I'm waiting to God to change my situation but to be transformed while you are yet in your situation (this could really preach).

Oftentimes we find ourselves in situations that we may not be deserving of (this can be positive or nagative) but its up to us what we do in the mean time in between time. Will you stand still and wait to be rescued- only to have to endure the same struggle so that you may learn. Or will you prepare yourself to be rescued? Will you get in your Word and fight or will you lay dormit oblivious to all that you can learn.

No woman just runs out the door on her way to a date. We take time to get our hair done, nails, outfit must be perfect and makeup must be right- why should it be any different for God? I am yet waiting for God, but I am preparing myself for what is in store for me because I can not go to my blessing looking like I've been in a fight!

Ladies- lets get it together and prepare ourselves right!
